What is EmSAT?
EmSAT is a national system leading children towards excellence and global competitiveness.
EmSAT (Emirates Standardized Test) is a computer-based entrance test for university or college admissions in the United Arab Emirates. The purpose of the EmSAT test is to assess the students’ skills and knowledge in the area of interest for higher studies in targeted subjects.
The good thing about the EmSAT Achieve test is that they do not have a pass or fail mark as the test assesses students’ concepts and skills in different subjects; instead, some universities may require a minimum score for admission purposes.
EmSAT includes three major types of tests:
- Baseline tests
- Advantage tests
- Achieve tests
When should I apply for the EmSAT exam?
The EmSAT test score is valid for up to 18 months from the date students appear for the test, so the best time to take the EMSAT test is in the middle of grade 11 or the beginning of grade 12, which increases the chance of reappearing for the test and allows students to aim for better scores.
Is EmSAT necessary to study in Dubai?
Yes, all Emirati grade 12 students must apply for the 4 basic subjects (Arabic, English, Math, and Physics).
